Ad tracking for marketing teams at
One ad account, both ways of counting
Same spend, same month. The pixel missed two in five conversions, so every cost per lead it reports is too high, and the worst campaign in the account looks like the best.
The definition
In short
Ad tracking software records which ad a visitor clicked, follows them to a form, a call or a purchase, and reports the conversions and revenue behind every campaign, ad set and ad. Modern ad trackers work server-side and first-party, so ad blockers and iOS cannot hide the conversion, and send the result back to Meta, Google, LinkedIn and Bing.
Store the gclid, fbclid, li_fat_id and msclkid on the first visit and keep it for months, so a conversion weeks later still finds its ad. See UTM and click ID tracking.
Count the conversion on your own domain, not in the browser, so the pixel being blocked does not mean the conversion is lost. See server-side tracking.
Join the click to the lead, the qualified opportunity and the closed deal in HubSpot, Salesforce or Pipedrive, so the report shows revenue per ad, not form fills per ad.
Return qualified leads and closed revenue to the ad platforms through their conversion APIs, so the bidding optimises on buyers instead of on cheap clicks.
Why the pixel is not enough
Every ad platform reports its own conversions from its own pixel, and every one lost a share of the picture to iOS and the cookie banner. The gaps are invisible from inside.
The result is a budget decided on a partial count. The campaigns that get cut are often the ones that were working.
Watch it
What ad blockers, iOS and the cookie banner hide from the pixel, and what a server-side layer counts instead.

The journey, drawn
The click, the return, the conversion counted on your own server and the amount sales closed, on one visitor. Then the part the ad account never gets on its own: that amount going back to the platform that earned it.
One visitor, 23 days, click to closed deal
Where the bidding learns from revenue
How the data moves
The click lands on your own domain, so the conversion is counted on your server before an ad blocker can touch it. It is then deduplicated against your pixel, matched to the person in your CRM, and pushed back through each platform's API.

Integrations
The ad platforms and channels a touchpoint can come from, and the CRMs the outcome is read back from. Open any tile for what exactly moves between LeadJourney and that tool.
Spend, campaign structure and click IDs come in. Closed deals go back out as offline conversions.
The traffic your analytics still files under direct. No setup, the tracking script separates it.
Lead stage and deal value flow in. Every campaign sees the revenue it actually produced.
What the software does
Every gclid, fbclid, li_fat_id, msclkid and UTM set is stored on the first visit and kept for months, so a lead that converts long after the click still credits the right ad.
Tracking runs on your own subdomain and the conversion is recorded on the server, which is what keeps 95%+ of conversions visible when the pixel is blocked.
Recovered conversions go straight into the Meta Conversions API, Google Enhanced Conversions, the LinkedIn Conversions API and Microsoft Ads offline conversions, deduplicated against your pixel.
The click is joined to the contact, the deal stage and the closed amount in HubSpot, Salesforce, Pipedrive, Close and GoHighLevel, natively or by webhook.
Ad spend is pulled from every platform, so the ad campaign report shows cost per lead, cost per customer and ROAS per campaign, ad set, ad and keyword in one table.
The whole journey is recorded, so a lead that clicked a Meta ad, came back through Google and booked from an email credits all three. First, last, linear and position-based models. See multi-touch attribution.
Why the data has to go back
Meta, Google, LinkedIn and Bing bid on the outcomes they can see. Shown form fills, they find people who fill forms. Shown qualified leads and closed deals, they find buyers. Sending the CRM outcome back is the biggest lever an advertiser has that is not creative or budget.
The reports
Revenue is the closed-won amount in the CRM, not a platform estimate.
Ad campaign report
Every ad account in one table with the spend the platform reports next to the leads, the qualified leads and the closed revenue the CRM reports. The number that decides the budget is finally in the same row as the budget.
The pixel cookie expired on day 7. The click ID did not.
Lead journey
Open any lead and read the whole path: the first ad click with its campaign and keyword, the return visits, the form or the call, and the CRM stages up to the closed deal. This is the record the pixel never had.
Every event carries the click ID and hashed first-party fields, so the platform can match it.
Conversion feed
A live log of every event the software captured and where it went: the conversion, the source it came from, the platform it was sent to and the match quality it arrived with. Tracking you can audit, not tracking you have to trust.
Live in 21 minutes
No tag manager project, no server container to host, no engineering ticket.
Add one script to your site on your own tracking subdomain. From that moment every ad click is recorded first-party with its click ID and UTMs.
Connect Meta, Google, LinkedIn and Microsoft Ads for spend and the conversion APIs, and your CRM for the outcomes. Native for HubSpot, Pipedrive, Close and Attio, a webhook for the rest.
Choose which CRM stages count as conversions and where they go: the qualified lead to Meta, the booked call to Google, the closed deal to all of them. The report fills the same day.
How it compares
| What you need | LeadJourney | ||
|---|---|---|---|
| Counts conversions blocked in the browser | No: Lost when the pixel does not fire | No: Same browser limits | Yes: Recorded first-party on the server |
| Keeps the click ID beyond the cookie | Partly: 7 days on Safari and iOS | Partly: Session-based, consent-dependent | Yes: Stored for months, per person |
| Knows which leads became customers | No: Stops at the form | Partly: Only with custom imports | Yes: CRM stages and closed revenue, natively |
| One report across every ad platform | No: Each platform reports itself | Partly: Sessions, not spend or revenue | Yes: Spend, leads and revenue in one table |
| Sends CRM outcomes back to the ads | No: Manual offline uploads | No: Not its job | Yes: Conversion APIs for Meta, Google, LinkedIn, Bing |
| Setup | Yes: One tag per platform | Partly: Weeks of configuration | Yes: 21 minutes, no developer |
What changes
The campaign with the cheapest leads is often not the one with the most customers. With CRM revenue per ad, the budget follows the deals.
When the platform optimises on qualified leads and closed deals instead of form fills, the cost of an actual customer falls.
Recovered conversions with a high match quality give the algorithm more signal per euro spent.
Every record carries the ad, campaign and keyword that produced it, so sales and marketing read the same source.
A deal that closes three months after the click still credits the ad, because the click ID outlives the cookie.
Ad spend against closed revenue, per channel, from one system that matches the CRM. No reconciliation meeting.
Original reviews
4.9 out of 5 across 11 public reviews. Quoted as they were left, shortened only by dropping whole sentences.
“Before LeadJourney, we had no reliable tracking concept for our five-figure ad spend. We were manually building spreadsheet and CRM reports, inaccurate and time-consuming. Within two days, everything was set up. For the first time, I know exactly what I pay per lead and which campaigns actually bring in the best-qualified prospects.”
Florian BuckCEO, Klickkraft GmbH“With LeadJourney we are able to track all our leads and connect them with sales and attribution data to make better decisions. In the first month of using it we scaled from 0 to 100k revenue from paid ads only.”
“LeadJourney finally fixed my Marketing Analytics. It goes way beyond basic Ad Tracking Software. The Customer Journey Report saves hours of digging, and capturing everything from Offline Conversions to AI Search Tracking makes it the Best B2B Attribution Platform available.”
“Connected LeadJourney for 2 clients, setup took literally 20 minutes each. The data became more accurate, the reports actually make sense. Now clients look at the dashboard and the 'why don't the numbers match?' questions are gone.”
Alexander SamarPerformance Marketing Agency“With LeadJourney, we have finally found a tool that provides us with the data we need to scale our performance marketing campaigns. The most important KPI is no longer lead price but cost per qualified lead.”
Steffen SiesingCEO, Bilanzmanufaktur GmbH“The ability to track both online and offline conversions in one unified dashboard has given us insights we never had before. Our ROI has improved dramatically since we started integrating LeadJourney with our CRM. We're finally able to see the full customer journey, and it's been a game changer for our strategy.”

Common questions
What advertisers want to know before they replace the pixel as their source of truth.
The platform pixel records a conversion in the browser and only for its own platform. Ad tracking software records the click on your own domain, follows the visitor across sessions and devices, joins the conversion to the lead and the deal in your CRM, and reports every platform in one place. It also sends the CRM outcome back to each platform, which the pixel cannot do on its own.
Tracking runs first-party on your own subdomain and the conversion is recorded on the server, so an ad blocker, an iOS privacy setting or a declined cookie does not stop it. The recovered conversions are deduplicated against your existing pixel and sent to the ad platforms through their conversion APIs. That is what keeps 95%+ of conversions visible.
Meta Ads, Google Ads, LinkedIn Ads and Microsoft Ads natively, with spend pulled in and conversions sent back through each platform's conversion API. Organic search, AI search engines, email, affiliates and any custom channel are tracked as sources as well, so the report covers the whole mix and not only the paid part.
HubSpot, Pipedrive, Close and Attio connect natively with one-click OAuth. Salesforce and 100+ other CRMs connect through a webhook, Zapier, Make or n8n. Once connected, every contact carries its ad source and every deal stage can be sent back to the ad platforms as a conversion.
No. Browser and server events are deduplicated by event ID, so a conversion the pixel also saw is counted once. You keep your pixel running and LeadJourney fills the gaps rather than adding a second count on top.
Most teams are live in about 21 minutes: one script on the site, the ad accounts and the CRM connected, and the conversion mapping chosen. No tag manager project and no server container to host. Onboarding is guided, on a call, if you want it.
Most ad trackers were built for e-commerce or affiliate media buying, where the purchase happens in the browser minutes after the click. LeadJourney was built around the lead, where the conversion is a form, a call or a booked meeting and the revenue closes in the CRM weeks later, and it tracks Shopify stores beside that. The ranked guide compares them side by side.
