Use case

iOS and ad blockers delete your conversions. The leads are still real.

The pixel runs in the browser, exactly where iOS and ad blockers work. LeadJourney records every click and conversion on our servers instead.

The real number

Same campaigns, same spend, same leads landing in the CRM. The difference is a conversion count taken on the server, where iOS, ad blockers and cookie banners cannot reach it.

The problem

Blocked tracking is not lost demand. It is lost measurement.

The leads keep arriving; only the evidence disappears. Your pixel, your tag and your analytics all run in the visitor's browser, and the browser is exactly where iOS, ad blockers and cookie banners are allowed to intervene.

Why the conversions vanish

Everything is measured inside the browser

  • The Meta pixel and the GA4 tag are JavaScript in the visitor's browser, so anything that blocks the script blocks the measurement with it.
  • Ad blockers filter tracking scripts by name, and a meaningful share of your visitors browse with one installed.
  • Safari and iOS limit browser cookies to days, so a lead who returns next week looks like a brand new visitor.
  • Every declined cookie banner ends the measurement on the spot, however many ads that visitor clicked before.
  • The platforms fill the holes with modeled conversions, which are estimates, not events you can trace to a lead.
  • Budgets get cut on undercounted numbers, so the campaigns hit hardest by blocking look like the worst performers.

The same campaigns with LeadJourney

The measurement moves to the server

  • Conversions are recorded on our servers instead of the visitor's browser, so ad blockers have nothing to block.
  • Tracking is first-party and server-side, so a declined banner does not end the measurement; consent decisions are respected rather than worked around.
  • First-party, server-side identifiers keep the journey intact across sessions and devices, past Safari's cookie limits.
  • 95%+ of conversions stay visible, which is what our customers measure in practice.
  • Click IDs from Google, Meta, LinkedIn and Bing are captured server-side and kept for weeks, not for one session.
  • Every recorded click, conversion and postback sits in the Transparent Logs, so the count is verifiable, not modeled.

The fix

The real numbers in our dashboard, clean signals back to your platforms

Recovering a conversion is only half the job. The count has to reach the reports your budget runs on, and the events have to reach the algorithms spending it.

Every conversion, back on the record

The dashboard marketing runs on

  • Every journey is tracked server-side from the first ad click, so the conversion exists whether or not the browser cooperated.
  • Campaign reports show the full conversion count next to spend, so cost per lead is computed on real numbers.
  • Transparent Logs list every click, conversion and postback recorded, so you can audit what was captured.
  • First-party and GDPR safe by design, at 95%+ accuracy, with data processed in the EU.

Send the signals back to your ad platforms

So the algorithms learn from real conversions

  • Conversions flow back to Meta, Google, LinkedIn and Microsoft, including the ones the pixel never saw.
  • Bidding algorithms learn from recorded outcomes instead of the thinned-out signal blocking leaves behind.
  • Offline conversions come along too: phone calls, booked meetings and closed deals return to the platforms with their value.
  • Events reach Meta through the Conversions API, deduplicated against your pixel if one is still running.

What changes

The questions you can answer once every conversion is counted

Every one of these is a report in LeadJourney, not a data project. Your ad platforms keep running exactly as they do today; they just start hearing about the conversions they earned.

  • How many conversions did each campaign really produce, blocked browsers included?

  • What is my true cost per lead once the uncounted conversions are back in?

  • Which campaigns looked weak only because their audience blocks tracking more?

  • How many of my leads decline the cookie banner, and where do those leads come from?

  • What does iOS traffic actually convert at, compared to what the pixel reports?

  • Which recovered conversions went back to Meta and Google, and when?

FAQ

What teams ask before switching this on

If yours is not here, our team answers in the chat within a few minutes.

Why does Meta report fewer conversions than I get leads?

Because the pixel measures from inside the visitor's browser, and the browser is where iOS, ad blockers and declined cookie banners intervene. Every blocked script and expired cookie is a conversion that happened but was never reported. The platforms partly fill the gap with modeled estimates, which is why the number moves without ever matching your CRM.

How does server-side tracking survive ad blockers?

Ad blockers work by stopping known tracking scripts from loading in the browser. LeadJourney records clicks and conversions on our servers with first-party identifiers, so there is no third-party script doing the measurement for a blocker to filter out. The visit is measured either way.

Is tracking without third-party cookies actually accurate?

Yes. 95%+ of conversions stay visible, which is what our customers measure in practice, and you can verify it yourself: Transparent Logs let you inspect every single click, conversion and postback we record, so nothing is a black box.

Is this GDPR compliant, or is it a workaround?

It is compliant by design, not a workaround. Tracking runs first-party and server-side, so it respects consent decisions rather than working around them, data is processed and stored in the EU, and we sign a data processing agreement. Regulated industries such as financial and legal services are a core part of our customer base.

Do the recovered conversions go back to Meta and Google?

Yes. Conversions flow back to Meta, Google, LinkedIn and Microsoft, so the bidding algorithms learn from the full picture instead of the thinned-out signal blocking leaves behind. On Meta the events travel over the Conversions API and are deduplicated against your pixel if one is still running.

How is this different from setting up the Conversions API myself?

The Conversions API is a pipe: it moves events you already have, and the hard part is having the right events. LeadJourney captures the click and the click ID server-side, follows the lead through your CRM, and sends the enriched event at every stage you mapped. A hand-built setup only ever knows what your website knows.

Should I remove my pixel and GA4 when I install this?

No. Keep whatever you run today; LeadJourney works alongside it rather than replacing your tags on day one. Most teams run both for a few weeks, compare the counts, and then decide what the pixel is still for.

How long does it take to see the recovered conversions?

Tracking starts the moment the snippet is live, and most accounts are set up in about 21 minutes. From the first day you can put the server-side count next to the pixel's count; every week before that is another week of conversions lost to the browser.
