Credit where it is due

Cometly has built a real attribution platform: server-side tracking, a Conversion API, an ads manager with AI on top. A SaaS team with a product-led motion should shortlist it. The table is about where the CRM sits: for a business whose revenue is a sales pipeline, reading the CRM on the first plan is the shorter evaluation.

Why teams switch

Why marketing teams choose LeadJourney over Cometly

Three arguments come up in almost every evaluation. Each one is a set of concrete capabilities, not a slogan.

The CRM on every plan

  • Forms, calls and CRM stages as conversions

Every conversion type a lead gen business has, tracked out of the box, with the CRM stage as the signal that matters rather than a checkout event.

  • CRM revenue attribution

Closed revenue from your CRM matched to the campaign, ad and keyword that created it, so return on ad spend is measured on deals, not on lead counts.

  • Offline conversion tracking

Calls, meetings and signed contracts connected back to the exact ad that generated them, and sent to the ad platforms as the conversion they should optimise on.

  • Lead quality by channel

See which channels bring leads that qualify and close, not just the ones that fill the form.

  • CRM enrichment

Attribution written back into the CRM, so every lead carries its real source, campaign and keyword where sales works.

Every channel, every account type

  • Organic and AI search as sources of their own

Google, Bing, YouTube, LinkedIn, email, referrals and the AI engines (ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude, Copilot, Perplexity, Grok and DeepSeek) attributed next to your ads at no extra cost.

  • AI search engine tracking

ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude, Copilot, Perplexity, Grok and DeepSeek tracked as distinct sources, not bucketed into direct or organic.

  • Client workspaces for agencies

A workspace per client with its own tracking, reports and unlimited client seats, a cross-client overview on top, built for agencies that run lead generation for others.

  • Server-to-server postbacks

Conversions arrive by postback from your networks or your own backend, so a sale is registered even when the browser drops the pixel.

  • Call tracking as an add-on

Static numbers per campaign or dynamic number insertion per visitor, on every plan, billed per number plus usage, and CallRail or Podium if you already run one. Every call lands on the click that made the phone ring.

European, transparent, fast

  • Frankfurt EU hosting

Frankfurt, Germany, with full EU data residency. GDPR compliant by design, with no transfer mechanism to document.

  • GDPR-native architecture

First-party tracking on your own domain, hashed identifiers and no third-party cookies, with an Art. 28 DPA on request. Compliant by default, not by configuration.

  • Public pricing by spend

Public tiers from €129 per month, set by your marketing spend and visible before you talk to anyone, with a 14-day free trial and no credit card.

  • 14-day free trial

Every plan starts with a 14-day trial, no credit card, so the numbers can be checked against your current tool before anyone signs anything.

  • 21 minute setup

From signup to live tracking in under 21 minutes, self-serve; an onboarding call with a tracking expert from Starter, and 14 days of setup support.

Switching

From Cometly to LeadJourney in 21 minutes

Nothing to export by hand. Add the script, connect the accounts, and run both tools for a week or two until the numbers agree.

  1. 1About 5 minutes

    Add the LeadJourney script

Paste one snippet into your site or your GTM container, alongside the Cometly script. It starts recording sessions, click IDs and form fills immediately, and nothing about your current setup changes.

  2. 2About 10 minutes

Connect your ad accounts and CRM

Sign in to Meta, Google, LinkedIn and Microsoft Ads over OAuth, then connect the CRM where your deals live. Historic campaign data and spend are imported for you.

  3. 3About 6 minutes

Map your CRM stages to conversions

Choose which stages count as a qualified lead and which count as revenue. From then on every stage change flows back to the ad platforms, and you can switch Cometly off once both tools agree.

Before LeadJourney, we had no reliable tracking concept for our five-figure ad spend. We were manually building spreadsheet and CRM reports, inaccurate and time-consuming. Within two days, everything was set up. For the first time, I know exactly what I pay per lead and which campaigns actually bring in the best-qualified prospects.

With LeadJourney, we have finally found a tool that provides us with the data we need to scale our performance marketing campaigns. The most important KPI is no longer lead price but cost per qualified lead.

FAQ

Cometly vs LeadJourney, your questions answered

The questions teams ask before deciding, answered the way we answer them on calls.

What is the actual difference between Cometly and LeadJourney?

Both are attribution platforms with server-side tracking, a Conversions API, multi-touch models and an AI assistant, so the difference is fit and packaging. Cometly positions on full-funnel attribution for B2B SaaS, runs an AI ads manager, and puts the CRM and warehouse sync, the API and MCP on its Enterprise tier. LeadJourney is the all-in-one attribution platform, lead generation first, B2B and B2C: the CRM stages and closed deals are the conversion on every plan, Shopify orders sit beside them, AI search engines are tracked as distinct sources, calls land through the call tracking add-on, agencies and affiliates have account types of their own, it hosts in Frankfurt and it publishes its prices.

How does the pricing compare?

Cometly has two tiers, Core and Enterprise, usage-based on monthly pageviews, with the price on request after a demo and no free trial. LeadJourney publishes its tiers: €129 a month up to €5,000 of marketing spend, €249 up to €15,000, €499 up to €50,000, €799 up to €100,000 and from €999 above that, monthly or yearly, after a 14-day trial without a card. Agencies and affiliates have plans of their own from €399 and €129.

Where does the CRM sit in each product?

On Cometly, CRM and warehouse sync are Enterprise features. On LeadJourney, the CRM integrations with stages and deal values are on every plan, because for a lead gen business the CRM stage is the conversion: HubSpot, Pipedrive, Salesforce, Close, Attio, GoHighLevel, ActiveCampaign and Odoo natively, any other CRM by webhook, with attribution written back into the record from the Growth plan. The data warehouse export streams clicks, conversions and leads into your own BigQuery dataset from the Scale plan, and the data also leaves through the API, the Zapier app, webhooks and MCP.

Does LeadJourney have an ads manager like Cometly?

No. LeadJourney reports on campaigns, ad sets and ads with spend, leads and CRM revenue per row, and sends the ad platforms the conversions they should optimise on, but it does not edit campaigns or move budget. Atlas tells you which campaign deserves budget and why; the change stays with you or your agency.

We are an EU company. Does it matter where Cometly hosts?

For a procurement or data protection review it does. Cometly does not publish a data region, which means transfer mechanisms to document. LeadJourney hosts in Frankfurt with full EU data residency, tracks first-party on your own domain, provides an Art. 28 GDPR DPA on request, and the team and the documentation are German. For DACH and EU teams that removes a step from the evaluation.

Can we migrate from Cometly to LeadJourney?

Yes. Setup takes about 21 minutes: add the script next to the Cometly one, connect the ad accounts and the CRM, and map the stages that count as qualified and as revenue. Most teams run both for a week or two and compare the numbers before switching Cometly off. Historic campaign data and spend are imported from your ad platforms during setup.
