The questions a media buyer stops asking on Tuesday morning

  • Ads Manager€4,180 spent, zero purchases. The pixel never sees the offer page.
  • Network dashboard117 sales. Which ad set? No idea, the sub IDs came through empty.
  • Sub ID sheetMeta says 61 clicks on sub 3, the network says 84. Which one do I trust?
  • Scaling callDo I scale the campaign or just one creative? The sheet only knows the campaign.
  • WednesdayCPA jumped from €31 to €57 and nothing changed. Except that the algorithm is buying clickers.
  • Month endThe network scrubbed 14 sales. Which ads did those come from? I paid for them.
  • NativeWhich widget IDs on Taboola are printing and which are bots? The spreadsheet has 400 rows.
  • Pre-landersAdvertorial v2 clicks through better. Does it sell better? The network cannot tell.
  • CAPIMeta wants purchase events. I have them, in a dashboard on another domain.
  • ProfitPayout minus spend, per ad, today. Not on the 10th when the statement lands.

Your account speaks affiliate

Offers, networks and campaigns. Every click and every postback rolls up through all three.

An affiliate account in LeadJourney is built from the three things a media buyer actually runs, not from leads and pipeline stages. Set each one up once and every report reads in those terms.

Offers

What pays. Each offer carries its payout, so a postback turns into revenue the moment it lands, and EPC, CR and profit sit on the offer as well as on the campaign.

  • Payout per offer, fixed or from the postback
  • EPC, CR and net profit per offer
  • Same offer across networks, compared side by side
  • Unlimited on every plan

Networks

Who pays. Each network gets a postback URL with the click ID and payout macros. Digistore24, ClickBank, MaxWeb, BuyGoods, MaxBounty or an advertiser's own program: anything that fires S2S connects.

  • One postback URL per network, set up once

Postback, not pixel

The sale happens on a domain you cannot pixel. Track it where you can: on the click, and in the postback.

The click is recorded where you control the domain and the sale arrives by postback with the click ID, so the two are one record.

95%+of sales captured, server-side click plus S2S postback

A pixel on your pre-lander sees a click-through. A pixel on the offer page is not yours to place. LeadJourney records the click on your own tracking domain, and the network's postback carries the click ID back with the sale. Two records that were never in the same place are one row.

  • Click recorded server-side on your own domain, so ad blockers and ITP do not eat the clicks you paid for
  • Click ID kept for months, so a sale on day nine still credits the ad that started it
  • Every click, postback and rejected event in the logs, on every plan
  • Direct linking supported, so the visitor can go straight to the offer and the click is still recorded

Spend minus payout, per ad. Sort by profit and the scaling call makes itself.

Spend arrives every two hours, payouts arrive with every postback, and both sit on the same click. So the report reads the way you think: spend, sales, payout, profit, ROI, then down to the creative and the pre-lander that did the work.

S2S postbacks

One postback URL per network. Every sale lands on its click.

Paste the LeadJourney postback URL into the network with the click ID and payout macros. Every sale the network confirms then lands on the ad set, ad and pre-lander that produced it. Scrubs and reversals come through the same way.

The sale from the network's postback goes back server-side with the payout as the value, so the bidding optimises on buyers instead of pre-lander clicks.

Conversions back to the platforms

The sale goes back to Meta as a purchase. The algorithm starts buying buyers.

A campaign optimised on pre-lander clicks buys clickers. LeadJourney sends the postback's conversion, with its value, back through the Meta Conversions API, Google Ads offline conversions, Microsoft and LinkedIn, matched to the click that started it. The bidding finally sees what it is paid for, which is when CPA stops drifting.

  • Purchase, lead or custom events with the payout as value
  • Matched on the platform's own click ID, captured on the first visit
  • Sent server-side, no pixel on the offer page needed
  • Same event mapping per offer, so a new campaign inherits it

The click-to-sale path

Ad, pre-lander, offer page, postback. One path, even across domains.

The click leaves your ad, lands on your advertorial, goes on to the offer page and comes back nine days later as a postback. LeadJourney keeps that as one journey: which creative, which pre-lander, which offer, how long it took.

  • Every touch with its source, ad set and pre-lander
  • First click, last click and multi-touch models, switchable per report
  • Time to sale per campaign, so the cap and the budget follow the real cycle

Offer, network, campaign, postback, done

Five steps, none of them a developer's. Most media buyers run LeadJourney next to their current tracker for a week and compare the numbers before switching it off.

1

Add a tracking domain

Point a subdomain of your own at LeadJourney. Clicks are recorded first-party on it from then on.

2

Create the offer

Name, network and payout. Fixed, or taken from the postback per sale.

3

Paste the postback URL

Into the network's settings with the click ID and payout macros. Fire a test, see it match in the logs.

4

Before LeadJourney, we had no reliable tracking concept for our five-figure ad spend. We were manually building spreadsheet and CRM reports, inaccurate and time-consuming. Within two days, everything was set up. For the first time, I know exactly what I pay per lead and which campaigns actually bring in the best-qualified prospects.

Questions media buyers ask

Asked on the demo call, answered here

Postbacks, CAPI, native traffic, price and switching from the tracker you run now.

How do you see a sale on Digistore24, ClickBank or a CPA network when I cannot put a pixel there?

You do not need to. The click is recorded server-side on your own tracking domain when the visitor hits your pre-lander or follows your direct link. The network then fires its postback to LeadJourney with the click ID and payout macros filled in, and the sale lands on the exact click, ad set and creative that produced it. Nothing lives on the network's page.

Which networks work?

Any network or advertiser program that sends a server-to-server postback, which is nearly all of them: Digistore24, ClickBank, MaxWeb, BuyGoods, MaxBounty, CJ, Awin, Impact, PartnerStack, and every program running on Everflow, TUNE, CAKE, Affise or Scaleo. The postback is one URL per network, set up once, and network integrations are unlimited on every plan.

Does the sale go back to Meta and Google so the algorithm optimises on it?

Yes. The conversion the postback reports is sent back server-side through the Meta Conversions API, Google Ads offline conversions, Microsoft Ads and LinkedIn Ads, matched on the platform's own click ID that LeadJourney captured on the first visit, with the payout as the value. That is what turns a campaign optimised on clickers into one optimised on buyers.

I run native, push and pops. Do those work?

Yes. Any source with a tracking link or a direct link is recorded with its click ID and sub IDs, so Taboola, Outbrain, MGID, PropellerAds, Zeropark and the rest report per campaign and per placement. Cost sync is automatic for Meta, Google, Microsoft and LinkedIn; for the other sources you enter the spend on the custom traffic channel and profit is computed the same way. What LeadJourney does not do is route traffic: there are no rotators or auto-optimised redirect paths, the decisions stay yours.

How is this different from Voluum, RedTrack or ClickFlare?

The tracking core is the same job: click, postback, cost, conversion back to the platforms. LeadJourney prices it by spend and visitors rather than by events, hosts in Frankfurt under GDPR, adds multi-touch attribution across every source including organic and AI search, and answers questions through Atlas instead of another report. What it does not have is traffic distribution and rules against traffic sources; if auto-routing between landers is your edge, keep that job in the tracker built for it. Both run side by side for a week without conflict.

What does it cost?

Affiliate plans start at €129 a month for up to €10,000 paid spend and 250,000 unique visitors, with offers, campaigns, sources and network integrations unlimited. The plan follows those two numbers only, so a good day does not cost extra. Faster cost sync (30, 15 or 5 minutes) is an add-on. Every plan starts with 14 days free and no credit card.

Can I test a postback before I move a campaign?

Yes. Every network in your account has a test postback, and the logs show the incoming payload, the click it matched and the conversion it created. Most buyers run one offer in parallel with their current tracker for a week, compare the two counts against the network statement, and switch the rest over once they agree.

Where is the data hosted and how long is it kept?

In Frankfurt, on EU infrastructure, GDPR-native. Click and conversion data is kept for 12 months on Solo and Pro, 24 on Scale and 36 on Network, and every plan carries the full logs of clicks, conversions and postbacks for that period.
