Every row in the results column is a person with a journey. Thirty-eight counts become thirty-eight names, each carrying what it cost and what it became.

The problem

A conversion count says something happened. Not to whom, and not what it became

Ad platforms report conversions as anonymous events because privacy rules mean they cannot hand you the person. Your own forms and your own CRM can, and that is the data the count is missing.

What the platforms can report

Events, counted inside their own walls

  • Conversions arrive as anonymous events by design: the platform is not allowed to tell you who converted.
  • Since iOS 14.5, part of the count is modelled rather than measured, so some of those conversions are estimates.
  • Each platform counts inside its own walls, so Meta and Google both claim credit for the same lead.
  • The count stops at the form fill. Whether the lead qualified, booked a demo or bought never reaches the report.
  • Optimisation learns from the cheapest form fills, so you buy more of the leads that never buy.
  • When sales says the leads are bad, marketing holds a number and has no names to check it against.

The same conversions with LeadJourney

Named leads, joined to their outcomes

  • Every conversion is a named lead, identified by your own form on your own site, first-party from end to end.
  • Conversions are recorded server-side at 95%+ accuracy: measured, not modelled.
  • One journey per lead across Meta, Google, LinkedIn, organic and AI search, so overlapping claims resolve into one path.
  • The lead's CRM stage and deal value sit on the same record, so the count becomes pipeline and revenue.
  • Won deals go back to the ad platforms as conversion signals, so the algorithms learn from buyers.
  • Marketing and sales argue over the same list of names, which usually ends the argument.

The fix

Open the count in our dashboard, land the outcome where it counts

Two places, one answer. Marketing opens any conversion in LeadJourney and finds the person and their journey. The CRM record carries the attribution, and the closed deal travels back to the platform that paid for the click.

See the people in LeadJourney

Every conversion opens into a lead

  • Every conversion is a named lead with the campaign, ad and creative that produced it on the record.
  • The full journey behind each one, from the first anonymous click to the form submit, touch by touch.
  • Campaign reports counted in leads, qualified leads and closed revenue instead of platform events.
  • Filter any campaign to the exact people it produced and see what each of them went on to become.

Send the outcome back out

To the CRM record and the ad platforms

  • Native integrations for HubSpot, Salesforce, Pipedrive, Close, Attio and more, plus a webhook for everything else.
  • Lead stage and deal value stay in sync with the CRM, so every conversion carries its outcome.
  • Won deals return to Meta, Google and LinkedIn as offline conversions with the revenue attached.
  • The bidding algorithms optimise on the people who bought, so cost per qualified lead falls.

What changes

The questions an anonymous count can never answer

Every one of these is a report in LeadJourney, not a data export. Your ad platforms keep doing what they are good at, and the people behind their numbers finally show up.

  • Which of last month's conversions became customers, and which never answered an email?

  • Who exactly did our best performing campaign bring in?

  • Which campaign produces leads that close, and which only fills the top of the funnel?

  • What did each closed deal cost in ad spend, per campaign and per creative?

  • Why does Ads Manager report more conversions than my CRM has new leads?

  • Which audiences produce qualified leads rather than the cheapest form fills?

FAQ

What teams ask before opening the conversion count

If yours is not here, our team answers in the chat within a few minutes.

Why can't I see who converted in Meta or Google Ads?

Because the platforms are not allowed to tell you. Privacy rules mean conversions are reported as anonymous, aggregated events, and since iOS 14.5 a share of them is modelled rather than measured. The person exists in your own systems, on the form they submitted and in your CRM; the platforms simply cannot connect their count to that record for you.

How does LeadJourney know who the lead is?

From your own site, first-party from end to end. The visitor's journey is tracked server-side from the first anonymous click, and the moment they submit your form or book a call, the journey is stitched to the lead they just became. No data is bought and nothing is scraped: the lead identified themselves to you, and LeadJourney supplies the journey behind that moment.

Will the LeadJourney numbers match Ads Manager?

Not exactly, and the difference is the point. Ads Manager counts events inside its own attribution rules, models part of them, and overlaps with what other platforms claim. LeadJourney counts named leads recorded server-side at 95%+ accuracy and deduplicated across channels, which is why its numbers match your CRM rather than any single platform.

Can I see which conversions became customers?

Yes, that is the core report. Every lead carries its CRM stage and deal value, so any campaign can be read as leads, qualified leads, booked demos and closed revenue. The conversion count stops being the end of the story and becomes the start of it.

Is it GDPR compliant to see the person behind a conversion?

Yes. The person LeadJourney shows you is a lead who filled in your own form, joined to visits on your own site: first-party data you already hold, organised. Data is processed and stored in the EU, we sign a data processing agreement, and tracking runs first-party and server-side, so it respects consent decisions rather than working around them.

What about visitors who never become leads?

They stay anonymous. Their sessions are tracked so that a journey exists if they ever identify, but a name only appears when someone submits a form or books a call. LeadJourney names leads, not visitors.

How long does setup take, and do I need a developer?

About 21 minutes, and no. You paste one snippet, connect your ad accounts and your CRM, and from the next conversion onwards the count has names in it.

Does sending outcomes back to the ad platforms help?

That is where the loop pays for itself. Won deals return to Meta, Google and LinkedIn as offline conversions with the revenue attached, so the algorithms optimise for the people who buy rather than the cheapest form fills, and cost per qualified lead falls.
