The loop closes in the ad account. Revenue that reaches LeadJourney through a Zap goes back to the platform that created the lead, so bidding optimises on revenue instead of form fills.

The gap
Zapier moves the lead. It does not know where the lead came from.
A Zap carries exactly what the trigger app hands it: a name, an email, the form answers. The click that started the journey is outside that payload, so every app downstream inherits a lead with no source.
Zapier attribution on its own
Reliable at moving records, blind to the journey around them
- A Zap fires on the trigger app's event and carries the trigger app's fields. If the form did not capture the source, no later step can add it.
- UTM parameters only travel when someone builds hidden fields into every form and maps them in every Zap, and they describe the visit that filled the form, not the click that started the journey.
- Click IDs such as gclid and fbclid are almost never in a form payload, so the lead cannot be matched back to the ad that produced it.
- A lead a Zap creates in the CRM arrives with a source of Zapier or nothing at all, and that is what the CRM reports afterwards.
- Each app keeps its own copy, so the webinar tool, the CRM and the spreadsheet each report a different lead count for the same month.
- Nothing travels back to Meta, Google or LinkedIn, so the algorithms never learn which of those leads turned into revenue.
- Spend never meets outcomes, so cost per closed deal is a spreadsheet exercise someone runs once a quarter.
Zapier with LeadJourney
One journey per lead, whichever app created it
- Every visit is captured server-side with its click ID and UTM parameters before any form is filled, at 95%+ accuracy.
- A lead or conversion that reaches LeadJourney through a Zap is stitched to the journey already recorded for that person, so it inherits the full history.
- The attributed source, campaign and click ID travel with the lead into whatever app the next Zap feeds, so the CRM shows the real origin.
- Revenue that arrives through a Zap goes back to the platform that created the lead as an offline conversion, with the value attached.
- Every app reads the same journey, so the webinar tool, the CRM and the report agree on where the lead came from.
- Spend is pulled from your ad accounts automatically, so ROAS and cost per closed deal are live per channel and campaign.
- Every Zap payload LeadJourney sends or receives is visible in Transparent Logs, so a field mapped wrong is found in minutes rather than in a quarterly audit.
How it works
Zapier attribution: any app in, attributed revenue back out
All three run on their own once the Zap is switched on: a way in for every tool without a native app, the attributed answer where your team works, the deal value back in the ad account.
1 Send leads and conversions in from any app
Zapier is the way in for every tool that has no native LeadJourney app.

A registration, a booking, a payment or a new row happens in a tool with no native LeadJourney app.
A Zap fires on that event and runs a LeadJourney action: create a lead, log a conversion or update a deal.
LeadJourney stitches the record to the server-side journey already recorded for that person, first click included.
The conversion shows up attributed per channel, campaign and ad, next to everything the native integrations report.
2 Push attributed leads and revenue out to the rest of your stack
So nobody opens a second tool to see where a lead came from.
LeadJourney fires a trigger when a lead is created, a conversion lands, the attribution changes or a deal is won.
The Zap receives the lead with its first and last click source, campaign, ad, click IDs and UTM parameters in the payload.

Map those fields to any app: a CRM without a native app, a work management board, a channel post or a spreadsheet row.
Sales sees the source on the record it already works in, and finance sees revenue per channel in the sheet it already keeps.
3 Close the loop in the ad account
Revenue that arrives through a Zap still teaches the bidding.

A payment or a won deal reaches LeadJourney through a Zap, with its amount and currency.
LeadJourney matches it to the click that started the journey, however many weeks ago that was.
The outcome goes back as an offline conversion with the value attached, through each platform's own API.
Bidding learns which clicks become revenue, so lead quality rises and the price per qualified lead falls.
Every other app
The tools with no native app, connected the same afternoon
LeadJourney has native apps for the CRMs and the ad platforms. For everything else there is a Zap, and these are the tools customers wire in through Zapier.
ZoomThrough Zapier
Webinar registrations and attendance in as conversions, so the campaign that filled the room gets the credit.
LivestormThrough Zapier
Registered and attended events in, with the session name, joined to the lead's journey.
MollieThrough ZapierPaid payments in with their amount, logged as revenue on the journey and sent back to the ad platforms.
monday.comThrough Zapier
Attributed leads out as items, with source, campaign and click ID as columns, so the board shows where the work came from.
Microsoft TeamsThrough ZapierWon deals out as a channel post with the full journey, the moment the deal is marked won.
No native app, no problem
If the tool is on Zapier, it can feed LeadJourney or read from it. Thousands of apps, no code and no waiting for an integration roadmap.
The journey travels with the record
Every trigger payload carries the attributed source, so the app downstream receives the lead's history and not just its email address.
Every Zap run is visible
Transparent Logs show what LeadJourney sent and received on each run, so a field mapped wrong is found in minutes.
Reporting
The questions a spreadsheet full of Zap rows cannot answer
Every one of these is a report in LeadJourney rather than a lookup someone builds. The apps you connect through Zapier stay where the work happens, and LeadJourney shows what produced it.

LeadJourney and the hand-built Zap
Where Zapier into a spreadsheet ends and LeadJourney starts
A Zap per form into a Google Sheet is cheap and honest about what it knows. It knows the form, not the click before it or the deal after.
| Capability | With LeadJourney | |
|---|---|---|
| Zapier attribution | With LeadJourneyThe full journey, captured server-side before any form: first click, last click, click IDs and every visit between. | |
| The anonymous first click | With LeadJourneyCaptured, then stitched to the lead when the record arrives, however many visits later. | |
| Click IDs | With LeadJourneygclid, fbclid, li_fat_id and msclkid captured at click time and carried in every trigger payload. | |
| Ad spend | With LeadJourneyPulled automatically from Meta, Google, LinkedIn and Microsoft Ads, so ROAS is live per campaign. | |
| Revenue | With LeadJourneyRead from your CRM or logged through a Zap, and attributed to the channel and campaign that earned it. | |
| Conversions back to the ad platforms | With LeadJourneyBuilt in per platform, with the deal value attached to the event. | |
| Attribution models | With LeadJourneyFirst click, last click, linear and position based, switchable without re-tracking anything. | |
| When a mapping breaks | With LeadJourneyEvery payload sent and received is in Transparent Logs, so the broken field is found the same day. | |
| Consent and GDPR | With LeadJourneyFirst-party by design and processed in the EU, at 95%+ accuracy, with a DPA. |
Keep your Zaps. Give them a journey.
Zapier stays the glue between your tools. LeadJourney becomes one more app in the chain, the one that knows where every lead came from and what it was worth, and hands that to every step after it.

“Before LeadJourney, we had no reliable tracking concept for our five-figure ad spend. We were manually building spreadsheet and CRM reports, inaccurate and time-consuming. FAQ
What Zapier builders ask before connecting
If yours is not here, our team answers in the chat within a few minutes.
How does Zapier attribution work when the lead is created by a Zap?
The journey is recorded before the Zap exists. LeadJourney's script captures every visit server-side with its click ID and UTM parameters, so when a Zap later creates the lead or logs a conversion, LeadJourney matches the record to that journey on the email address and the lead inherits its full history, first click included. The Zap only has to carry what the trigger app knows; the attribution comes from LeadJourney.
Which triggers and actions does the LeadJourney Zapier app have?
Four triggers: new lead, new conversion, attribution updated and deal won, each with the attributed source, campaign, click IDs and UTM parameters in the payload. Three actions: create a lead, log a conversion and update a deal. Together they let any app feed LeadJourney and any app read from it.
Do I still need Zapier if my CRM has a native LeadJourney integration?
Not for the CRM. HubSpot, Salesforce, Pipedrive, Attio and Close connect natively, and the native sync is the better route for them because it reads stages and revenue back without a Zap. Zapier is for everything else: the webinar platform, the booking tool, the payment provider or the internal spreadsheet that has no native app.
Can I send conversions from Zoom, Livestorm or a payment provider into LeadJourney?
Yes. Any event Zapier can see becomes a conversion in LeadJourney through the log conversion action: a webinar registration, a booking, a paid invoice, a showed-up flag. The conversion lands on the journey of the lead it belongs to and is attributed to the channel and campaign that started it.
Does revenue that arrives through a Zap go back to Meta and Google?
Yes. A payment or a won deal logged through a Zap is matched to the click that started the journey and sent to the platform that produced it as an offline conversion, with the value attached: to Meta through the Conversions API, to Google Ads matched on gclid, to LinkedIn through its Conversions API and to Microsoft Ads matched on msclkid.
What happens when a Zap fails or a field is mapped wrong?
Zapier shows the run and its error in its own history, as it does for any app. On the LeadJourney side, Transparent Logs show every payload sent and received, so you can see exactly which fields arrived and which were empty, and fix the mapping the same day rather than discovering blank columns at the end of the quarter.
A deal closes six weeks after the click. Is it still attributed?
Yes. The journey has no window, so a deal won through a Zap six weeks or six months after the first click is credited to the campaign and creative that started it. The ad platforms apply their own windows to what they receive, so late deals mainly improve optimisation there; the report that matches the revenue to the ad lives in LeadJourney.
Do I need a paid Zapier plan?
A Zap with one trigger and one action runs on Zapier's free plan, within its monthly task limit. Multi-step Zaps, filters and higher volumes sit on Zapier's paid plans, so check Zapier's current pricing for the volume you expect. The LeadJourney side has no extra cost, see below.
Do I need a developer?
No. The connection is an API key pasted into Zapier, and building a Zap is the same point and click editor you already use. Most accounts are live in about 21 minutes, and our team will build the first Zap with you on a call if you prefer.
Is sending lead data through Zapier GDPR compliant?
You control which fields each Zap maps, and nothing leaves LeadJourney that you have not mapped. LeadJourney itself processes and stores data in the EU, signs a data processing agreement, and tracks first-party and server-side, so consent decisions are respected rather than worked around. Zapier's own processing is covered by your agreement with Zapier, as it is for every app you connect there.
What does it cost?
The Zapier app is part of the platform and available on every plan rather than a paid add on. Plans are priced on tracked events instead of seats, so your whole team and your agency can share one workspace, and every plan starts with a 14 day free trial without a credit card.
