- Multi-touch attribution per lead
- Qualified leads and won deals sent back
Every chat lead is matched to the click that produced it. The bot's answers land on that lead next to its campaign, channel and keyword, and the qualified leads and won deals go back to the ad account.

The gap
WotNot knows the bot qualified the lead. It does not know which ad brought them.
WotNot's analytics show conversations, drop-offs, flow conversion and agent response times. What they cannot show is the ad clicked a week before the chat, or whether the qualified lead ever paid.
WotNot attribution on its own
Accurate about the conversation, blind to its history and outcome
- The analytics report conversations, engagement, satisfaction, drop-offs and channel-wise activity, so you learn how the bot performs, not which campaign filled it.
- The bot asks the qualifying questions and collects the contact details, but the click, keyword and first touch behind the visit are not part of the conversation.
- Handing the lead to HubSpot, Salesforce or Zoho CRM moves the contact and the answers. The campaign that produced the chat is not on the record.
- So in the CRM and in GA4, the chat, often the highest intent lead on the site, reports as Direct or not at all.
- Whether the meeting was held, the proposal accepted or the deal won is decided in your CRM, out of WotNot's view.
- No ad spend enters WotNot, so cost per chat lead by campaign is a spreadsheet someone rebuilds every month.
- Nothing about qualification goes back to Meta, Google or LinkedIn, so the algorithms keep buying every chat, the tyre kickers included.
WotNot with LeadJourney
One journey per chat lead, from the first click to the deal
- Every visit to the pages your WotNot bot runs on is tracked server-side, with click ID, UTM parameters, referrer and landing page, at 95%+ accuracy.
- When the bot captures an email or a phone number, the conversation lands as a lead stitched to the whole journey, not only the last page.
- The bot's answers become fields on that lead, so budget, timeline or company size sit next to the campaign and keyword that produced them.
- Server-side, so nothing is lost to ad blockers, Safari or a declined cookie banner.
- The lead is followed through your CRM, from meeting held to deal won, and the revenue lands on the campaign that started the chat.
- Spend is pulled from your ad accounts automatically, so cost per chat lead and per qualified lead by campaign, channel and keyword is live.
- Qualified chat leads and won deals go back to the ad platforms, so bidding learns which chats become customers rather than which chats happen.
How it works
WotNot attribution in, qualified leads and revenue back out
Both chains run on their own once connected: the chat becomes a lead with a full journey and its answers attached, and the qualified lead and the revenue go back to the platform that paid for the click.
1 Every WotNot chat lead arrives with its source
The journey is recording long before the bot says hello.
Every ad click arrives with its click ID and UTM parameters, and organic, referral and AI search visits arrive with their referrer.
On your site, every visit is tracked server-side with its landing page, pages viewed and device, past ad blockers and iOS.

When the bot captures contact details, LeadJourney receives the lead with the answers you chose, meetings booked in the chat and live chat handovers included.
The chat is stitched to the journey that led to it, so the lead carries its first click, its last click and every touch between.
2 Follow the lead to revenue and send it back
So the ad platforms learn which chats were worth paying for.

The lead is followed through your CRM as it changes stage: meeting held, proposal, won, with the value.
Cost per chat lead, cost per qualified lead and revenue per campaign, channel and keyword sit in one report, next to forms and calls.
Qualified leads and won deals go back to Meta, Google, LinkedIn and Microsoft Ads as conversions with their value, so the bidding learns which chats turn into revenue.
The return path
The qualified chat goes back as a conversion. The deal follows.
Send the ad platforms the chats your bot qualified rather than every chat, then the won deal once your CRM records it, so campaigns optimise on the leads that become customers.
MetaConversions API
Chat lead, qualified lead and deal won, with value and currency
Google AdsOffline conversion import
Conversions matched on gclid, with the deal value for value based bidding
LinkedIn AdsConversions API
Qualified lead and won revenue matched on li_fat_id
Microsoft AdsOffline conversions
Conversions matched on msclkid, with deal value
You choose what counts as a conversion
Map a chat lead, a lead the bot qualified or the won deal to a platform event, or all three.
Qualification becomes the optimisation target
When the platform learns which chats qualify and which go quiet, it buys more of the first kind, so the price per qualified lead falls.
Sent server to server
No pixel to fire, nothing for an ad blocker or a declined cookie banner to remove.
Reporting
The questions WotNot's analytics cannot answer
Every one of these is a report in LeadJourney rather than an export. WotNot stays where you build and run the bot, and LeadJourney shows where each chat lead came from and what it was worth.
What does a chat lead cost us per campaign, and what does a qualified one cost?
Do chat leads close better than form leads and calls, and on which channel?
Which landing pages start the chats that turn into deals?
Which keywords bring people who chat with the bot and then never book the meeting?
Which campaign produced the leads who answered the budget question with the top band?
How many chat leads came from ChatGPT and Perplexity last month, and did any of them pay?
LeadJourney and WotNot's own analytics
Where WotNot's analytics end and LeadJourney starts
WotNot's analytics show how the bot and the agents perform, from the first message to the drop-off. The click before the chat and the deal after it are out of view.
| Capability | With LeadJourney | |
|---|---|---|
| WotNot attribution | With LeadJourneyEvery chat lead is matched to the full journey recorded server-side, first click to last, with campaign, keyword and landing page. | |
| The click before the chat | With LeadJourneyCaptured with its click ID, landing page and referrer, then stitched to the chat lead. | |
| Bot and agent performance | With LeadJourneyLeft to WotNot. LeadJourney reports on what the chat leads became. | |
| Qualifying answers | With LeadJourneyStored as fields on a lead that already carries its source, so you can see which campaigns produce the answers you want. | |
| Ad spend and cost per chat lead | With LeadJourneySpend pulled from Meta, Google, LinkedIn and Microsoft Ads automatically, so cost per chat lead and per qualified lead are live per campaign and keyword. | |
| Revenue | With LeadJourneyWon CRM revenue attributed to the campaign, channel and keyword that started the chat. | |
| Conversions back to the ad platforms | With LeadJourneyChat lead, qualified lead and won deal sent server to server with value, so the bidding learns which chats pay. | |
| Other channels | With LeadJourneyOne model across chats, forms and calls, paid, organic, referral and AI search, so every lead is counted once. |
Keep WotNot. Give every chat lead a history.
WotNot stays where you build bots, qualify leads and hand over to your team. LeadJourney records what happened before the chat and what happened after, and hands the result to the platforms where the budget is spent.

“Before LeadJourney, we had no reliable tracking concept for our five-figure ad spend. We were manually building spreadsheet and CRM reports, inaccurate and time-consuming. Within two days, everything was set up. For the first time, I know exactly what I pay per lead and which campaigns actually bring in the best-qualified prospects.”
Florian BuckCEO, Klickkraft GmbH “With LeadJourney we are able to track all our leads and connect them with sales and attribution data to make better decisions. In the first month of using it we scaled from 0 to 100k revenue from paid ads only.”

FAQ
What WotNot users ask before connecting
If yours is not here, our team answers in the chat within a few minutes.
How is WotNot attribution with LeadJourney different from WotNot's own analytics?
WotNot's analytics measure the conversation: engagement, drop-offs, flow conversion, agent response times and satisfaction. They start when the bot does. LeadJourney records the whole journey server-side on your site and matches the chat lead to it, so the lead carries its first click, its last click and every touch between, and follows it to the deal.
Do the bot's qualifying answers come through?
Yes, the answers you choose land as fields on the lead, next to its campaign, channel and keyword. That is what lets you see which campaigns produce leads with the budget, timeline or company size you want, and send only those to the ad platforms as qualified.
Which WotNot conversations does LeadJourney capture?
Conversations from the bots you put in scope in which the bot or an agent captured contact details, meetings booked in the chat and live chat handovers included. Each one lands as a lead with its journey attached, and once the lead is in your CRM the stage changes are read from there, so the same record grows from chat to meeting to won deal.
Does it work for a WotNot bot on WhatsApp?
The website bot is the cleanest case, because the chat happens on the page whose visit was recorded. A WhatsApp conversation is captured too, and it is joined to a tracked journey when the same person, by email or phone number, was recorded on your site.
Does WotNot lead tracking still work with ad blockers and iOS?
Yes, that is the point of tracking server-side. The visit and the click ID are recorded on the server before an ad blocker, Safari or a declined banner can remove them, at 95%+ accuracy, and the chat lead itself comes from WotNot rather than from a browser pixel.
Can I see cost per chat lead for a bot?
Yes. Spend is pulled from your ad accounts and joined to the chat leads, so cost per chat lead and per qualified lead is live per campaign, channel and keyword, and you can break it down by bot. Once the CRM is connected, revenue per chat lead sits next to it, beside your forms and calls.
Can I send qualified chat leads back to Meta and Google Ads?
Yes. A chat lead, or only the leads your bot qualified, can go back as a conversion, and the won deal from your CRM follows with its value: to Meta through the Conversions API, to Google Ads as an offline conversion import matched on gclid, to LinkedIn through the Conversions API and to Microsoft Ads matched on msclkid.
We build WotNot bots for our clients. Does that work?
Yes. Each client gets its own LeadJourney workspace with its own ad accounts, CRM and bot, so a client sees cost per chat lead and revenue for their campaigns only, and you can show them what the bot you built actually produced.
Do I need a developer?
No. The script is one line in your site or your GTM container, connecting WotNot is a sign in and picking the bots in scope, and mapping stages to events is a settings screen. Your bot flows stay as they are. Most accounts are live in about 21 minutes, and our team will do the setup with you on a call if you prefer.
Is it GDPR compliant?
Yes. Data is processed and stored in the EU, we sign a data processing agreement, and tracking runs first-party and server-side so consent decisions are respected rather than worked around. You choose which bots and which answers are in scope, so anything else said in the chat stays in WotNot.
What does it cost?
The WotNot integration is part of the platform rather than a paid add on. Plans are priced on tracked events instead of seats, so your whole team and your agency can share one workspace, and every plan starts with a 14 day free trial without a credit card.
