The gap

Swoogo knows who registered, who attended and which sessions they sat in. It never learns which campaign produced them.

Registration reports answer how the event went. The click that produced the attendee happened on your own site weeks earlier, and the opportunity closes in your CRM months later.

Swoogo reports on their own

The system of record for the event, blind to the campaign before it and the pipeline after it

  • Swoogo reports registrations, session choices, badge scans, check-in and no-shows, event by event, and it is the source of truth for all of it.
  • Your event site carries the tracking codes you added, so the ad platforms hear about a registration in the browser, when the pixel fires and consent allows it.
  • Swoogo can push the registration into Salesforce, HubSpot or Marketo. What it cannot push is the campaign that produced it, because it never saw the click.
  • UTM parameters on the registration URL survive only while the visitor takes one path on one device, and an event is booked after four visits over three weeks.
  • A no-show and somebody who sat in four sessions are two rows in the same report. The ad platform only ever heard "registered".
  • Whether the attendee became an opportunity and closed is in the CRM, on a record nobody can trace back to the ad that filled the seat.
  • Spend lives in the ad accounts and registrations in Swoogo, so cost per attendee and event ROI are a spreadsheet built after the event is over.

Swoogo with LeadJourney

One journey per attendee, from the first click to the closed opportunity

  • Every registration, check-in and no-show arrives as a conversion, matched server-side to the ad click, post, email or referral that produced it.
  • The registration is stitched to the visitor's full journey, so the LinkedIn campaign, the agenda page and the AI answer before it are all on the record.
  • Attendance is its own stage, so a campaign that registers cheaply and fills the room with no-shows stops looking like the winning campaign.
  • Session attendance reads as the interest signal it is, so the track that pulled the buyers is on the record before next year's agenda is written.
  • The attendee is followed through your CRM to the closed opportunity, and the revenue lands on the campaign, email and event that produced the seat.
  • Attendance and won revenue go back to LinkedIn, Google, Meta and Microsoft as offline conversions with value, so bidding buys attendees who buy.
  • Spend is pulled from every connected ad account, so cost per registration, per attendee and per closed deal are live at 95%+ accuracy.

How it works

Swoogo attribution for every registration, then for every deal the event produced

Both run on their own once connected: the first turns a registration and a check-in into conversions with a journey behind them, the second gives the attendee a value and hands it to the ad platforms.

  1. 1

Every registration and check-in becomes a conversion with its journey attached

Swoogo runs the registration. LeadJourney records what produced it.

    Your website

Visits and click IDs are tracked server-side across paid, organic and AI search, before anyone reaches the event site.

    Swoogo

Registrations, check-ins, session attendance and no-shows arrive from Swoogo as they happen, each as its own stage.

LeadJourney matches the registration to the visitor's journey and stitches the seat to the campaign, post or email that produced it.

Cost per registration and per attendee, by channel, campaign, landing page and event, next to every other conversion.

  2. 2

From the attendee to the closed opportunity, and back to the ad account

So the platforms optimise on events that produce pipeline, not on cheap registrations.

    SalesforceHubSpotDynamics 365Pipedrive

The attendee becomes a lead in your CRM, and LeadJourney reads stage changes, opportunity value and closed won as they happen.

The won amount is placed on the registration, and on the campaign, channel, email and event that produced it.

    LinkedIn AdsGoogle AdsMetaMicrosoft Ads

Attendance and won deals go back as offline conversions, matched on the click ID with the deal value attached.

Bidding learns which audiences fill the room with buyers, so the cost of a qualified attendee falls rather than the cost of a form fill.

The return path

Attendees and won revenue, back in the ad account that filled the room

A registration is not pipeline. When it turns into somebody at the door, and when the opportunity closes, each outcome goes back to the platform that produced the click.

You choose what counts as a conversion

Map the registration, the check-in or the closed opportunity to any platform event, or all three at their own stages.

Value based bidding gets a real value

The opportunity amount from your CRM travels with the event, so tROAS strategies optimise on pipeline instead of a flat value per registration.

Sent server to server

No pixel to fire on an event site you do not own, and nothing for an ad blocker or a declined cookie banner to remove.

Reporting

The questions a registration report cannot answer yet

Every one of these is a report in LeadJourney rather than an export. Swoogo stays the system that registers, badges and checks in your attendees, and LeadJourney shows what filling the room produced.

  • Which campaigns and emails produced the registrations that turned into pipeline?

  • What does an attendee cost us on LinkedIn compared with Google Ads and a partner mailing?

  • What did this event return, against everything it cost, by channel?

  • Which sessions were full of buyers, and which were full of people who never came back?

  • How many of this year's registrations had first found us through an organic search or an AI answer?

  • Which roadshow stop is worth repeating, and which one only looked busy?

Keep Swoogo. Give every registration a source and a value.

Swoogo stays the system that builds the registration, runs the sessions and prints the badges. LeadJourney takes each registration and check-in as a conversion, joins it to everything that happened before and after, and hands the result to the platforms where the budget is spent.

Before LeadJourney, we had no reliable tracking concept for our five-figure ad spend. We were manually building spreadsheet and CRM reports, inaccurate and time-consuming. Within two days, everything was set up. For the first time, I know exactly what I pay per lead and which campaigns actually bring in the best-qualified prospects.

FAQ

What event teams ask before connecting

If yours is not here, our team answers in the chat within a few minutes.

How is this different from Swoogo attribution and the registration reports on their own?

Swoogo reports tell you how the event went: who registered, which sessions they booked, who walked in. LeadJourney starts from those events and adds the two halves the reports do not cover, the journey before the registration form, across every channel, device and visit, and the opportunity after the event, read from your CRM. The result is a registration with a source and an event with a revenue figure, which the ad platforms otherwise never learn.

How does LeadJourney connect to Swoogo?

You connect your Swoogo account from the integrations screen in LeadJourney, without a developer. From then on every registration, check-in and no-show arrives in LeadJourney as a conversion. Your registration forms, session logic, badges and reports stay exactly as they are.

Swoogo already pushes registrations into Salesforce. What does this add?

The source. Swoogo can create the record, but it never saw the click, so the record arrives without the campaign, the channel or the journey that produced it. LeadJourney adds those to the record that is already there rather than creating a second one, and then reads the opportunity back, so the revenue lands on the campaign that filled the seat.

Our registration runs on a Swoogo hosted event site. Does the match still work?

Yes. The click and the visit are tracked server-side on your own pages before the visitor reaches the event site, and the registration coming back from Swoogo is matched to that visitor's journey across the handover. If the registration is embedded on your own domain instead, the match happens on the same page.

Can I optimise ads on attendees instead of registrations?

Yes, and for an event with a real budget this is the point. Attendance goes back to the ad platforms as its own event, so campaigns can optimise on it directly. LinkedIn, Google and Meta stop buying the audiences that register cheapest and start buying the ones that turn up.

Our deals close two quarters after the event. Is the event still credited?

Yes. The journey has no attribution window, so an opportunity closed in March is still credited to the January event and to the campaign that produced the registration. The ad platforms apply their own windows to the conversions they receive, which is why the full picture stays in LeadJourney while the platforms get the events they can still learn from.

We run a roadshow with eight stops. Can I compare them?

Yes. Each event keeps its own registrations, attendance and revenue, and the same person across two stops stays one journey rather than two leads. Cost per attendee and closed revenue per stop sit in one report, next to the channels that filled each room.

Do I need a developer?

No. The tracking script is one line in your site or GTM container, connecting Swoogo and your CRM is done from the integrations screen, and mapping event stages to platform events is a settings screen. Most accounts are live in about 21 minutes, and our team will do the setup with you on a call if you prefer.

Is event attribution with LeadJourney GDPR compliant?

Yes. LeadJourney processes and stores data in the EU, signs a data processing agreement, and tracks first-party and server-side, so consent decisions are respected rather than worked around. What arrives from Swoogo is the registration and the attendance data, not the answers to your registration questions, which stay in Swoogo under your existing setup.

What does it cost?

The Swoogo integration is part of the platform rather than a paid add on. Plans are priced on tracked events instead of seats, so your whole team, your agency and your event partner can share one workspace, and every plan starts with a 14 day free trial without a credit card.
