The gap
Eventbrite knows every ticket it sold. It cannot tell you which ones your ads sold.
Some buyers came from your campaigns, some found the event on Eventbrite itself. The sales report adds them up into one number.
Eventbrite on its own
Exact about the sale, vague about who caused it
- The sales report shows orders, ticket types, promo codes and what each event took, to the cent.
- Tracking links count the sales that came through each link, the last one the buyer used and nothing before it.
- Part of every event sells through Eventbrite's own search and recommendations, and those sales look exactly like the ones your ads paid for.
- The pixel you add to the event fires on eventbrite.com, in the browser, when the buyer's consent and ad blocker allow it.
- Refunds correct the payout. The ad account keeps counting the purchase it reported weeks ago.
- Spend lives in the ad accounts and revenue in Eventbrite, so ROAS per event is a spreadsheet somebody builds after the doors have closed.
Eventbrite with LeadJourney
One journey per order, from the first click to the person at the door
- Every order arrives as a conversion with its real amount and currency, matched server-side to the ad, post or email that sold it.
- Orders that never touched your own pages stay apart from the ones your campaigns produced, so the marketplace's sales are not credited to your Meta budget.
- The handover to Eventbrite keeps the click ID, so the sale lands on the campaign that produced it instead of on Direct.
- The whole journey is on the record: the reel, the organic search and the newsletter before the last click, not only the tracking link at the end.
- Check-in is its own stage, so a campaign that sells to people who never turn up stops looking like a success.
- A refund reverses the conversion, in your reports and in what the ad platforms were told, so ROAS is the money you kept.
How it works
Eventbrite attribution for every order, then the revenue back where the budget is
Both run on their own once connected: the first turns an order into a conversion with a journey behind it, the second hands the amount to the platforms and takes it back when the ticket is refunded.
1 Every order becomes a conversion with its journey attached
Eventbrite sells the ticket. LeadJourney records which click sold it.
Visits and click IDs are tracked server-side across paid, organic and AI search, before anyone reaches the Eventbrite checkout.

Orders, check-ins and refunds arrive from Eventbrite as they happen, each with its ticket types and its amount.
LeadJourney matches the order to the visitor's journey, and keeps the orders with no visit on your pages apart from the ones a campaign produced.
Cost per ticket and ROAS by channel, campaign, landing page and event, next to every other conversion you run.
2 From the paid order to the ad account that sold it
So the platforms bid on buyers, at what the buyers were actually worth.

The paid amount, the ticket types and any later refund are read as Eventbrite records them.
The amount is placed on the order, and on the campaign, channel, landing page and event that produced it.
Purchases go back as offline conversions, matched on the click ID, with the real ticket revenue attached.
Bidding learns which audiences buy the expensive tickets, so the cost of a sold seat falls instead of the cost of a click.
The return path
Ticket revenue, back in the ad account that sold the ticket
A click is not a sale and a sale is not a kept sale. What goes back is the paid order, at its real amount, and the refund that reversed it.
MetaConversions API
Purchase with the ticket amount and currency, and the refund that reverses it
Google AdsOffline conversion import
Paid orders matched on gclid, with the amount for value based bidding
TikTok AdsEvents API
Server-side purchase events with the ticket revenue
Microsoft AdsOffline conversions
Conversions matched on msclkid, with the order value
LinkedIn AdsConversions API
Orders and revenue matched on li_fat_id, for conferences and trade events
Only your campaigns' sales go back
A ticket the marketplace sold is not reported to Meta as a sale Meta made, so the algorithm learns from the buyers it actually found.
Value based bidding gets the real amount
A group booking and a single early bird are not worth the same, and the platform is told the difference instead of a flat value per sale.
Sent server to server
No pixel on a checkout you do not own, and nothing for an ad blocker or a declined cookie banner to remove.
Reporting
The questions the Eventbrite sales report cannot answer yet
Every one of these is a report in LeadJourney rather than an export. Eventbrite stays where you sell, scan and get paid, and LeadJourney shows what filling the room cost.
How many of this event's tickets did our ads sell, and how many did Eventbrite's marketplace sell on its own?
What does a sold ticket cost us on Meta compared with Google Ads and TikTok?
What is the ROAS of this event, live, while there are still tickets left?
Which posts and landing pages sell the expensive tickets rather than the cheapest one?
Which channels bring buyers who turn up, and which fill the list with no-shows?
Which campaign found the people who now buy a ticket for every event?

Keep Eventbrite. Give every ticket a source.
Eventbrite stays where you sell, scan and get paid, and keeps bringing buyers through its marketplace. LeadJourney takes each order as the conversion it is, tells your campaigns' sales from the marketplace's, and hands the real revenue to the platforms where the budget is spent.

“Before LeadJourney, we had no reliable tracking concept for our five-figure ad spend. We were manually building spreadsheet and CRM reports, inaccurate and time-consuming. Within two days, everything was set up. For the first time, I know exactly what I pay per lead and which campaigns actually bring in the best-qualified prospects.”
Florian BuckCEO, Klickkraft GmbH “With LeadJourney we are able to track all our leads and connect them with sales and attribution data to make better decisions. In the first month of using it we scaled from 0 to 100k revenue from paid ads only.”

FAQ
What Eventbrite organisers ask before connecting
If yours is not here, our team answers in the chat within a few minutes.
How is this different from Eventbrite attribution with tracking links and the pixel?
Tracking links count the last link a buyer used, and the pixel reports the sale from the browser when it is allowed to fire. LeadJourney starts from the orders Eventbrite records and adds the journey before them, across every channel and device, matched server-side. The result is an order with a source and a campaign with a real ROAS.
How does LeadJourney connect to Eventbrite?
You connect your Eventbrite account from the integrations screen in LeadJourney, without a developer. From then on every order, check-in and refund arrives as a conversion. Your events, ticket types, promo codes and payouts stay exactly as they are.
Can I see which sales came from Eventbrite's marketplace and which from my ads?
Yes. An order from a buyer who clicked your ad and visited your pages carries that journey. An order from somebody who found the event on Eventbrite and never touched your pages is kept apart, so your campaigns are not credited with sales the marketplace made, and the ad platforms are not told about them either.
My checkout is hosted on Eventbrite. Does the match still work?
Yes. The click and the visit are tracked server-side on your own pages before the buyer reaches Eventbrite, and the order coming back is matched to that visitor's journey across the handover. With the checkout embedded on your own site, the match happens on the same page.
Does a refund take the sale back?
Yes. A refunded order reverses the conversion in your reports and in what was sent to the ad platforms, so a campaign that sells tickets people hand back stops looking profitable. ROAS becomes the money you kept.
Can I see which ads sell tickets to people who actually turn up?
Yes, where you check people in. Check-in lands as its own stage on the buyer, so you see cost per sold ticket and cost per person at the door side by side.
Do I need a developer?
No. The tracking script is one line in your site or GTM container, connecting Eventbrite and your ad accounts is done from the integrations screen, and mapping ticket events to platform events is a settings screen. Most accounts are live in about 21 minutes, and our team will do the setup with you on a call if you prefer.
Is ticket attribution with LeadJourney GDPR compliant?
Yes. LeadJourney processes and stores data in the EU, signs a data processing agreement, and tracks first-party and server-side, so consent decisions are respected rather than worked around. What arrives from Eventbrite is the order and its amount, not your buyers' payment details.
What does it cost?
The Eventbrite integration is part of the platform rather than a paid add on. Plans are priced by ad spend instead of seats, and every plan comes with onboarding by a tracking expert and a 30-day money-back guarantee.
