LeadJourney vs Motion

Creative performance and revenue attribution are different questions

Motion reads what the ad platforms report; LeadJourney records what happened on your site and in your CRM. The rows are the features our pricing page lists, with what Motion documents for each one next to them, so the table shows fit, not a winner per row.

Motion compared with LeadJourney, row by row
Built forMotionCreative and performance teams at brands spending $50,000 a month on ads and up, and their agencies.LeadJourneyLead generation first, B2B and B2C: forms, calls, CRM stages and closed deals are the conversion model, plus e-commerce through the Shopify integration or a manually connected shop, for advertisers, agencies and affiliates.

Credit where it is due

Motion answers a question attribution tools answer badly: which creative is working, shown as the creative rather than a row of numbers. Creative teams with a real testing cadence get value from it every week. The table is about a different question, which ad produced the deals in the CRM, and the two do not compete for the same budget line.

Pricing

Both price lists are public. Here they are side by side.

What the two ladders buy

Both follow ad spend, and the entry points are far apart: $750 for a creative AI that reads the ad platforms, €129 for an attribution platform that reads your CRM. A team that wants both runs both, on different budget lines.

Why teams switch

Why marketing teams choose LeadJourney over Motion

Three arguments come up in almost every evaluation. Each one is a set of concrete capabilities, not a slogan.

Built around the lead, with the store beside it

  • Forms, calls and CRM stages as conversions

Every conversion type a lead gen business has, tracked out of the box, with the CRM stage as the signal that matters rather than a checkout event.

  • CRM revenue attribution

Closed revenue from your CRM matched to the campaign, ad and keyword that created it, so return on ad spend is measured on deals, not on lead counts.

  • Offline conversion tracking

Calls, meetings and signed contracts connected back to the exact ad that generated them, and sent to the ad platforms as the conversion they should optimise on.

  • Lead quality by channel

See which channels bring leads that qualify and close, not just the ones that fill the form.

  • The full journey of every lead

Every touchpoint from the first click to the closed deal on one timeline, with the CRM stage on it, for any single lead your sales team asks about.

Your data, not the platforms' reports

  • Server-side tracking, 95%+ accuracy

Conversions are recorded on your own domain and sent server to server, so ad blockers, iOS and declined consent lose far less of them. 95%+ of conversions captured.

  • Conversions API sync on every plan

Real conversions and revenue go back to Meta, Google, LinkedIn, Microsoft, Reddit and X Ads server-side, so their algorithms optimise on deals that actually closed.

  • Multi-touch attribution, every model

First click, last click, linear, position based and the rest on every plan, switchable without re-tracking anything; custom models on Enterprise.

  • Revenue columns inside Ads Manager

The Chrome extension adds your CRM stages, revenue, cost per qualified lead and ROAS as columns in Meta Ads Manager and Google Ads, on every plan, so you scale and cut where you already buy.

  • Audience Sync from your CRM

Audiences built from leads, qualified leads or customers, synced daily to Meta, Google, LinkedIn and Microsoft, for retargeting, lookalikes and excluding the people who already bought.

European, transparent, fast

  • Frankfurt EU hosting

Frankfurt, Germany, with full EU data residency. GDPR compliant by design, with no transfer mechanism to document.

  • GDPR-native architecture

First-party tracking on your own domain, hashed identifiers and no third-party cookies, with an Art. 28 DPA on request. Compliant by default, not by configuration.

  • Public pricing by spend

Public tiers from €129 per month, set by your marketing spend and visible before you talk to anyone, with a 14-day free trial and no credit card.

  • 21 minute setup

From signup to live tracking in under 21 minutes, self-serve; an onboarding call with a tracking expert from Starter, and 14 days of setup support.

  • Ask Atlas, the AI marketing analyst

Atlas reads your campaign, lead and CRM data and answers questions in plain language; Atlas agents watch the data and send daily or weekly reports to email, Slack or WhatsApp.

Switching

From Motion to LeadJourney in 21 minutes

Nothing to export by hand. Add the script, connect the accounts, and run both tools for a week or two until the numbers agree.

  1. 1About 5 minutes

    Add the LeadJourney script

Paste one snippet into your site or your GTM container, alongside whatever tags you already run. It starts recording sessions, click IDs and form fills immediately, and nothing about your current setup changes.

  2. 2About 10 minutes

Connect your ad accounts and CRM

Sign in to Meta, Google, LinkedIn, Microsoft, Reddit and X Ads over OAuth, then connect the CRM where your deals live. Historic campaign data and spend are imported for you.

  3. 3About 6 minutes

Map your CRM stages to conversions

Choose which stages count as a qualified lead and which count as revenue. From then on every stage change flows back to the ad platforms, and you can switch Motion off once both tools agree.

“Before LeadJourney, we had no reliable tracking concept for our five-figure ad spend. We were manually building spreadsheet and CRM reports, inaccurate and time-consuming. FAQ

Motion vs LeadJourney, your questions answered

The questions teams ask before deciding, answered the way we answer them on calls.

What is the actual difference between Motion and LeadJourney?

Motion is an AI for creative: it reads the ad accounts, pre-watches and tags every creative, ranks them, and ships briefs, reports and alerts through Slack, with MCP access to the data. It places no pixel and sees nothing after the click. LeadJourney is the all-in-one attribution platform: it tracks on your own domain, follows the lead through the CRM stages to the closed deal and the order through Shopify or a manually connected shop, lead generation first, B2B and B2C, attributes that revenue to the campaign, ad and creative across Meta, Google, LinkedIn, Microsoft, Reddit and X Ads, organic and AI search, sends stage changes and orders back to the ad platforms and answers questions through Atlas.

Does LeadJourney show creative performance?

Yes, as numbers: leads, qualified leads, orders and CRM revenue per campaign, ad set and ad, so you see which creative produced deals rather than clicks. It does not watch the creatives, tag them, rank them in a leaderboard or write briefs. A team that lives in creative testing keeps Motion for that; LeadJourney tells it which of those creatives made money.

Are the two tools competitors or complementary?

Mostly complementary, and Motion's Pro plan says so itself by integrating attribution tools rather than replacing them. Motion reads what the ad platforms report about creatives; LeadJourney records what happened on your site and in your CRM. A team that runs both gets creative insight from Motion and the revenue truth from LeadJourney. A team that can only pay for one and needs to know which ads bring deals is better served by attribution.

We are a DTC brand on Shopify. Does LeadJourney fit?

Yes. Shopify connects as an integration, any other shop system connects manually, and the orders land next to every other conversion: return on ad spend per campaign, ad and creative, and where each customer came from, organic and AI search included. Creative testing on product feeds, the creative library and the benchmarks stay with Motion; LeadJourney's core is the lead, with the store tracked beside it.

How does the pricing compare?

Both publish their prices by ad spend. Motion's Starter is $750 a month for brands spending up to $50,000 a month on ads, Pro $1,200 above that, and Growth on quote above $125,000, all sold through a demo. LeadJourney publishes its tiers: €129 a month up to €5,000 of marketing spend, €249 up to €15,000, €499 up to €50,000, €799 up to €100,000 and from €999 above that, monthly or yearly, after a 14-day trial without a card.

We are an EU company. Does hosting matter for a tool like Motion?

Less than for a tracking tool, because Motion collects no visitor data, only ad account reporting. LeadJourney does collect visitor and lead data, which is why it hosts in Frankfurt with full EU data residency, tracks first-party on your own domain and provides an Art. 28 GDPR DPA on request. For DACH and EU teams that is the setup a data protection review expects.

Can we add LeadJourney next to Motion?

Yes, and that is the usual path. Setup takes about 21 minutes: add the script, connect the ad accounts and the CRM, and map the stages that count as qualified and as revenue. Historic campaign data and spend are imported from your ad platforms during setup, so the creative-level revenue reports are not empty on day one.
