Credit where it is due

ClickFlare is one of the better engineered trackers in the affiliate space: fast redirects, a Conversions API for the platforms arbitrage buys on, self-optimising traffic routing. If you run search arbitrage, that is the tool for the job. The table is about what happens after the postback, when the conversion becomes a CRM deal weeks later.

Both price lists are public. Here they are side by side.

What the axis means for a media buyer

An events ladder counts every visit, click and conversion, so a campaign that scales moves you up a tier whether or not it makes money. LeadJourney's affiliate plans meter the two numbers you already watch, paid spend and visitors, and never count offers, sources or networks. An advertiser, lead gen or e-commerce, is on a different ladder again, by marketing spend, from the same €129.

Why teams switch

Why media buyers and marketing teams move from ClickFlare to LeadJourney

Three arguments come up in almost every migration call. Each one is a set of concrete capabilities, not a slogan.

Affiliate tracking, included

  • Server-to-server postbacks

Conversions arrive by postback from your networks or your own backend, so a sale is registered even when the browser drops the pixel.

  • Direct linking

Send paid traffic straight to the offer without a bridge page, and still track the whole journey from click to payout.

  • Unlimited campaigns, offers and sources

Campaigns, offers, traffic sources and affiliate network integrations are never limited, on any affiliate plan.

  • Affiliate network integrations

Connect the networks you promote for and pull conversions and payouts back automatically, so cost, revenue, profit and ROI sit in one report.

  • Cost sync every two hours, faster as an add-on

Spend from your ad platforms refreshes every two hours on every plan; 30, 15 and 5 minute refreshes are add-ons for buyers who cut campaigns intraday.

From the postback into the CRM

  • Forms, calls and CRM stages as conversions

Every conversion type a lead gen business has, tracked out of the box, with the CRM stage as the signal that matters rather than a checkout event.

  • CRM revenue attribution

Closed revenue from your CRM matched to the campaign, ad and keyword that created it, so return on ad spend is measured on deals, not on lead counts.

  • Call tracking as an add-on

Static numbers per campaign or dynamic number insertion per visitor, on every plan, billed per number plus usage, and CallRail or Podium if you already run one. Every call lands on the click that made the phone ring.

  • Conversions API sync on every plan

Real conversions and revenue go back to Meta, Google, LinkedIn and Microsoft server-side, so their algorithms optimise on deals that actually closed.

  • Organic and AI search as sources of their own

Google, Bing, YouTube, LinkedIn, email, referrals and the AI engines (ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude, Copilot, Perplexity, Grok and DeepSeek) attributed next to your ads at no extra cost.

European, transparent, fast

  • Frankfurt EU hosting

Frankfurt, Germany, with full EU data residency. GDPR compliant by design, with no transfer mechanism to document.

  • GDPR-native architecture

First-party tracking on your own domain, hashed identifiers and no third-party cookies, with an Art. 28 DPA on request. Compliant by default, not by configuration.

  • Public pricing by spend

Public tiers from €129 per month, set by your marketing spend and visible before you talk to anyone, with a 14-day free trial and no credit card.

  • 21 minute setup

From signup to live tracking in under 21 minutes, self-serve; an onboarding call with a tracking expert from Starter, and 14 days of setup support.

  • MCP connection, API and Zapier

Ask Claude, ChatGPT or Cursor about your own data over MCP, pull it through the API or move it with the Zapier app. The export streams clicks, conversions and leads straight into your own BigQuery dataset.

Switching

From ClickFlare to LeadJourney in 21 minutes

Nothing to rebuild. Add the script, connect the accounts, repoint the postbacks, and run both trackers side by side until the numbers agree.

  1. 1About 5 minutes

    Add the LeadJourney script

Paste one snippet into your site or your GTM container, alongside the ClickFlare script. It starts recording sessions, click IDs and form fills immediately, and nothing about your current setup changes.

  2. 2About 10 minutes

Connect your ad accounts and networks

Sign in to Meta, Google, LinkedIn and Microsoft Ads over OAuth, so spend arrives every two hours, and add the networks you promote for. Custom traffic sources take a link or a webhook.

  3. 3About 6 minutes

    Point your postbacks at LeadJourney

Paste the postback URL into your networks and offers, or send conversions from your own backend server to server. Every payout lands on the click that earned it, and the conversion goes on to Meta, Google, LinkedIn and Microsoft over the Conversions API.

Before LeadJourney, we had no reliable tracking concept for our five-figure ad spend. We were manually building spreadsheet and CRM reports, inaccurate and time-consuming. Within two days, everything was set up. For the first time, I know exactly what I pay per lead and which campaigns actually bring in the best-qualified prospects.

With LeadJourney, we have finally found a tool that provides us with the data we need to scale our performance marketing campaigns. The most important KPI is no longer lead price but cost per qualified lead.

FAQ

ClickFlare vs LeadJourney, your questions answered

The questions media buyers and marketing teams ask before switching, answered the way we answer them on calls.

What is the actual difference between ClickFlare and LeadJourney?

ClickFlare is an ad tracker built for affiliates and arbitrage: fast redirects, feed partner and native network templates, AI traffic routing and a Conversions API. LeadJourney is the all-in-one attribution platform: it tracks the same clicks and postbacks, then follows the lead into the CRM and attributes closed revenue across every touch, for lead generation first (B2B and B2C) and for e-commerce through the Shopify integration or a manually connected shop. Phone calls count through call tracking numbers, organic and AI search are sources of their own, stage changes go back to the ad platforms, and Atlas answers questions in plain language. It hosts in Frankfurt and prices in euros, by spend rather than by events.

Can affiliates use LeadJourney?

Yes. Affiliates are one of the three account types, with plans from €129 a month. Server-to-server postbacks, direct linking, click ID tracking, affiliate network integrations, custom traffic sources and cost sync every two hours are on every affiliate plan, and campaigns, offers, traffic sources and network integrations are never limited. What LeadJourney does not do is route traffic: no rotators, no AI routing between landers. If that is your edge, ClickFlare keeps that job.

How does the pricing compare?

Both publish their prices. ClickFlare runs from $69 a month for 1 million events to $1,759 for 200 million, a flat fee per band with no share of ad spend. LeadJourney's affiliate plans run from €129 a month, metered on paid spend and unique visitors only, with offers, sources and network integrations unlimited, after a 14-day free trial. An advertiser, lead gen or e-commerce, is on the advertiser ladder instead, from the same €129, set by marketing spend.

We run lead gen campaigns and a CRM. Which tool fits?

That is the case LeadJourney is built around. A form fill is the first of several conversions: the lead qualifies, books a call and closes weeks later, and each stage is tracked, attributed and sent back to Meta, Google, LinkedIn and Microsoft as an offline conversion. ClickFlare lists CRMs and call tracking as an integration category; LeadJourney reads HubSpot, Pipedrive, Salesforce, Close and the others natively, with stages, deal values and attribution written back into the CRM, and tracks calls itself through static or dynamic numbers as an add-on, or through CallRail or Podium if you already run one.

ClickFlare names e-commerce among its users. Does LeadJourney track a store?

Yes. LeadJourney connects Shopify natively and any other shop system manually, then reports ROAS and where each customer came from across every touch, beside the leads and postbacks in the same account. Product-level catalogue analytics, AOV and cohort tooling remain the strength of a dedicated e-commerce tool; LeadJourney's core is the lead, with the store tracked beside it, so a business that sells through forms, calls and a shop gets one attribution model for all three.

Both tools have an AI assistant. What is different about Atlas?

ClickFlare's AI Copilot answers questions about the tracker's data and suggests optimisations. Atlas does the same in plain language, and Atlas agents watch the data on their own and send daily or weekly reports to email, Slack or WhatsApp. The difference is what the analyst can see: in LeadJourney that includes CRM stages, closed revenue and AI search sources, and the same data is open to Claude, ChatGPT or Cursor over MCP.

Can we migrate from ClickFlare to LeadJourney?

Yes. Setup takes about 21 minutes: add the script, connect the ad accounts and networks, and repoint the postbacks. Most buyers run both trackers in parallel for a week or two and compare the numbers before switching ClickFlare off. Historic campaign data and spend are imported from your ad platforms during setup.
