Why restaurant tracking is broken

Your bookings live in SevenRooms. Your ad spend lives in Meta. And nothing connects the two.

SevenRooms is a brilliant booking system, but it is an external tool, so building proper conversion tracking around it is a nightmare. Your ads optimize on clicks and form fills they can see, never the reservations they actually drove.

  • Bookings happen on an external tool, so your pixel never sees the reservation and cannot optimize for it.
  • Meta and Google optimize on clicks, not tables, so they keep finding cheap clickers instead of guests who book.
  • 50 to 60% of your guests land in "direct", so you have no idea which channel actually filled the room.
  • You spend five or six figures a month on marketing and still cannot prove which campaigns drive real revenue.
  • You cannot see which channel a high-value party (the €680 anniversary table) actually came from.
  • Building it yourself means months of dev work and a fragile pipeline that breaks the moment SevenRooms changes.

The restaurants winning with paid ads are not spending more. They just feed the algorithm real reservations.

From guesswork to one connected journey

Every channel and your SevenRooms bookings, connected into one journey.

LeadJourney captures every click and touchpoint across your ads, Instagram, Google and your Google Business listing, then connects them to the actual reservation in SevenRooms. The result is the full journey of every guest and every reservation, guest and euro of revenue, attributed back to the channel that earned it, and sent back to Meta and Google so the algorithm optimizes on tables.

How the magic works

Every click on the left becomes a booked table on the right.

The click lands on your website first-party, the guest books on SevenRooms, and the native integration ties the two together with the party size, event, revenue and time attached. The reservation goes back to Meta and Google as a real conversion, with its value, so the algorithm learns which ads fill the room.

Everything a SevenRooms restaurant needs

The single source of truth for your restaurant marketing.

Native SevenRooms integration

Connect SevenRooms once and every reservation flows in with the channel, campaign, ad and custom fields attached. No developer, no fragile pixel hack.

  • SevenRooms

Every reservation back to Meta and Google

Each booking goes back to your ad platforms as a real "Reservation" conversion, with the revenue attached, so the algorithm optimizes for guests who book and pay.

Server-side, so nothing breaks it

Reservations are sent server-side through the Conversions API, so iOS updates and ad blockers do not cut the booking off from the ad that drove it.

The full journey of every guest

The complete path behind every reservation: the first touch, every visit in between, and the booking itself.

Channel, campaign, ad set, ad and keyword

100 bookings on a busy night? See exactly where each of those guests came from, down to the keyword that started it.

Real revenue and true ROAS

When guests pay for packages, set menus or deposits, that revenue is tied to the campaign that drove the booking and reported as ROAS per campaign and ad.

Google Business, Search and organic, split apart

Maps, paid search and organic are separated, so you finally see how many guests your local presence really drives instead of losing them to "direct".

  • Google Business Profile

Segment by campaign, ad or channel

Slice reservations by any custom field to see which campaigns drive the biggest parties and the most valuable bookings, not just the most clicks.

Sits on top of SevenRooms

SevenRooms stays your booking and guest management system. LeadJourney is the marketing and attribution layer on top, connecting spend to tables.

Custom fields and segments, for advanced teams

Track party size, event, revenue and time, then find the campaigns that bring your biggest parties.

Pull custom fields straight from SevenRooms: the number of guests, the event type, the revenue and the time of the reservation. Then segment your data to see which campaigns drive the anniversary tables and the corporate dinners, not just the cheapest clicks.

Every part of the guest journey, visualised

From the first ad to the booked table, in one place.

Optimize on real revenue and true ROAS.

Jonas Strambach

Jonas Strambach · CEO & Founder, LeadJourney

Subject: Which campaign actually filled the tables?

Hi,

I'll keep this short and personal. Before LeadJourney, I scaled a performance marketing agency, and some of the trickiest accounts we ever ran were restaurants. They booked through SevenRooms, spent real money on ads, and yet we could never prove which campaign actually filled the tables.

The bookings lived in SevenRooms, the spend lived in Meta and Google, and nothing connected the two. We were optimizing ads on clicks and form fills, not real reservations, so Meta kept finding us cheap clickers instead of guests who showed up and paid. For a restaurant spending five or six figures a month, that gap is brutal.

So we built the thing I wish we'd had: LeadJourney connects your website, your ad platforms and SevenRooms natively, sends every reservation (and its revenue) back to Meta and Google, and shows you the full journey of every guest, so the algorithm finally optimizes for real bookings and you see exactly which channel drives your most valuable guests.

If you run a restaurant on SevenRooms and you're not 100% sure which marketing actually fills your tables (almost nobody is), I'd genuinely love to show you what this looks like on your own data. Book a call and I'll walk you through it personally. No deck, no pressure.

Talk soon,
Jonas

Before LeadJourney, we had no reliable tracking concept for our five-figure ad spend. We were manually building spreadsheet and CRM reports, inaccurate and time-consuming. Within two days, everything was set up. For the first time, I know exactly what I pay per lead and which campaigns actually bring in the best-qualified prospects.

Common questions

Everything you would ask on the call, answered

The questions restaurant teams ask before they connect SevenRooms to their ads.

How does the SevenRooms integration work?

It is native. You connect SevenRooms once, and from then on every reservation flows into LeadJourney with the channel, campaign, ad and custom fields attached. There is no developer work and no fragile pixel hack to maintain. The integration does the heavy lifting for you.

Can you really send reservations back to Meta and Google?

Yes, and it is the part that is almost impossible to build yourself. When a booking happens in SevenRooms, we send it back to Meta and Google as a real "Reservation" conversion, server-side through the Conversions API, with the revenue attached. So the algorithm optimizes for guests who actually book and pay.

What custom fields can I track?

Anything you capture in SevenRooms. Most restaurants track the number of guests, the event type (anniversary, birthday, corporate dinner), the revenue and the time of the reservation. You can then segment your reporting by any of them to see which campaigns bring your most valuable bookings.

Can I track revenue and ROAS if guests pay for packages?

Yes. When guests pay for set menus, packages or deposits, LeadJourney captures that revenue, ties it to the campaign that drove the booking, and reports a true ROAS per channel and ad. It also sends the revenue back to your ad platforms, so they optimize on real ROAS, which is a game-changer at five or six figure monthly spend.

Can I see how many guests come from Google or my Google Business listing?

Yes. We split your Google Business profile (Maps), Google Ads and Google organic apart, so you see exactly how many reservations and guests each one drives, instead of everything collapsing into "direct".

Does this replace SevenRooms?

Not at all. SevenRooms stays your booking and guest management system. LeadJourney sits on top as your marketing and attribution layer, the single source of truth that connects your ad spend to your real reservations and revenue.

Do I need a developer to set it up?

No. Setup is a guided onboarding and most restaurants are live in under half an hour. We help you connect your website, your ad platforms and SevenRooms together on a call. No engineering hours required.

What happens after I book?
