Call tracking for local businesses and agencies

Every call, traced to the exact ad. Not to "Google, I think."

Your ads run online. Your business happens on the phone. LeadJourney connects the two, for local businesses and the agencies behind them.

Every number forwards to the phone you already answer. Callers notice nothing.

What businesses on LeadJourney never do again

  • "How did you hear about us?"
  • Guessing which ads make the phone ring
  • Paying for clicks that never call
  • Junk calls quietly eating the ad budget
  • Missed calls nobody ever knew about
  • Marketing reports with zero call data
  • Arguing with clients about where calls came from
  • One number for everything and no idea what works

The blind spot in every local business

Your most valuable conversion is a phone call. And it is invisible in every report you have.

For a locksmith, a roofer, a dentist or a law firm, the job does not start with a form fill. It starts with a ring. But your analytics stops at the click, so the moment a customer picks up the phone, your marketing data goes dark, right where the actual money happens.

  • Your ads run on Google and Meta. Your phone rings all day. No report anywhere connects the two.
  • "How did you hear about us?" Everyone says "Google." Google Ads? Maps? SEO? Nobody knows, including the caller.
  • You pay per click, but you get paid per call. Everything between those two is a black box, and that is where the budget leaks.
  • One campaign rings booked jobs, another rings wrong numbers and price shoppers. In your ad account, both just say "call button clicked."
  • Your Google Business Profile drives calls for free while you double the budget on a campaign that rings junk. You cannot see either.
  • A missed call at 7 PM is a job your competitor booked at 7:05. Today you do not even know it happened.
  • Radio, flyers, truck wraps, yard signs: pure faith. You renew them every year because "people mention it sometimes."
  • Agency? The client asks which calls came from your campaigns, and your answer is a screenshot of a click report.

The businesses that win locally are not the ones that spend the most. They are the ones that know which euro makes the phone ring.

How LeadJourney call tracking works

A number for every source. A source for every call.

On your website, LeadJourney swaps in a unique tracking number per visitor, so a call maps back to the exact session, ad click and keyword. Offline, fixed numbers cover your Google Business Profile, flyers, radio spots and truck wraps. Every number forwards to the phone you already answer, callers notice nothing, and every single call lands in one log with its source, a recording and an AI summary attached.

Built for both ends of the phone line

Do you answer the calls, or do you deliver them?

For locksmiths, roofers, dentists, lawyers, HVAC and movers, every local business where the job starts with a phone call. And for the marketing agencies, pay-per-call and pay-per-lead teams whose product is a ringing phone.

Every call comes in labeled

The channel, the campaign, even the keyword that made this phone ring, attached to every call before you pick up.

Booked jobs separated from junk

Recordings and AI summaries separate booked jobs from wrong numbers, spam and price shoppers, so 74 qualified calls means 74 potential jobs.

Move the budget with proof

Cut the campaign that rings junk, double the one that books jobs. With proof, not gut feeling.

A workspace per client

Every client gets a workspace where each delivered call carries a timestamp, a source and a recording. Disputes end before they start.

Invoice from an export

Export qualified calls with duration and proof attached, and invoice per call or per lead without an argument.

A renewal deck that writes itself

Calls delivered, jobs booked, cost per qualified call, month over month. Results in a report the client can hold, not in their memory of being busy.

Whichever end of the line you are on

Your competitors guess where their calls come from. You will know, down to the keyword.

The business that knows which ad rings gets the next job. The agency that proves its calls keeps the client and is impossible to argue with. Either way, the phone stops being the one channel nobody can measure.

Meta looked like the number two channel until you checked call quality. This is the view that moves budget.

Calls by source

See which channel actually makes the phone ring.

Google Ads, Meta, your Business Profile, SEO, referrals and your offline spots, side by side: calls, answered, qualified, average duration and cost per call. Then flip the switch to qualified-only and watch the ranking change. The channel that rings most is rarely the channel that books most.

  • Every source in one report, paid, organic and offline
  • Qualified calls separated from spam, wrong numbers and price shoppers
  • Cost per qualified call instead of cost per click

  • The exact ad, keyword and landing page behind each call
  • AI marks calls qualified or junk, and tags booked jobs
  • Recordings you can play back, per number and toggleable
  • Qualified calls flow back to Google and Meta as conversions, so the algorithm learns from jobs, not clicks

What changes for you

Less wasted spend. More booked jobs. Zero arguments.

Down:

Wasted ad spend

The campaign that rings wrong numbers gets cut. The one that books jobs gets its budget. For most local businesses, that reshuffle alone pays for everything.

Up:

Booked jobs

When qualified calls flow back to Google and Meta as conversions, the algorithms stop optimizing for clicks and start hunting for people who actually pick up the phone.

Down:

Missed opportunities

Every missed call becomes a line in a call-back list with a name, a source and a timestamp, instead of a job that silently went to the next number in the search results.

Done:

Offline clarity

The radio spot, the flyers, the truck wrap: each gets its own number, so the yearly "should we renew this?" question finally has an answer with data behind it.

Up:

Client trust

For agencies: the client who sees every delivered call with a recording and a source does not question the retainer. They question why they ever worked with anyone else.

Lasting:

Billable proof

Pay-per-call and pay-per-lead teams invoice from an export, not from a negotiation. Every disputed call you used to write off is revenue back on the table.

Before LeadJourney, we had no reliable tracking concept for our five-figure ad spend. We were manually building spreadsheet and CRM reports, inaccurate and time-consuming. Within two days, everything was set up. For the first time, I know exactly what I pay per lead and which campaigns actually bring in the best-qualified prospects.

Common questions

Everything you would ask before switching numbers, answered

The questions local businesses and their agencies ask before their first tracking number goes live.

How does the number swapping on my website work?

One small snippet on your site. When a visitor arrives, LeadJourney shows them a unique number from your pool and keeps it consistent for their whole visit. When they call it, the call is matched to their exact session: the ad they clicked, the campaign, the keyword, the pages they saw. Visitors never notice anything; they just see a phone number.

Do I have to change my real phone number?

No. Tracking numbers forward to the phone you already answer, whether that is your cell, the office line or a call center. How you take calls does not change at all. Your existing number keeps working exactly as before.

What about my Google Business Profile?

Your Business Profile gets a dedicated fixed tracking number, so every call from Maps and the profile is counted separately from ads and SEO. If you want, your original number stays on the profile as an additional number. This is standard practice in local marketing, and it is usually the biggest "so that is where our calls come from" moment.

Is call recording allowed?

Recording rules differ by state and country, which is why recording is a per-number toggle and a consent announcement can be played before the call connects. You decide which numbers record. Everything else (source, duration, missed calls, caller location) works with recording off, too.

How does the AI decide which calls are qualified?

The AI listens to the call and summarizes what happened: new job, booking, quote request versus wrong number, spam, vendor call or an existing customer. It tags each call accordingly and you can correct or refine the rules for your business. The result is a call report where "74 qualified calls" actually means 74 potential jobs.

I run a pay-per-call or pay-per-lead agency. How does proof work?

Each client lives in their own workspace. Every call you deliver carries a timestamp, the source, the duration and the recording. At month-end you export the qualified calls and attach them to the invoice. When a client questions a call, you send the recording instead of an argument.

Does call tracking work together with the rest of LeadJourney?

Yes, and that is the point. Calls sit next to your form fills, website leads and CRM deals in one journey per customer. A caller who clicked your ad last week and filled a form yesterday is one person, not three data points. And qualified calls flow back to Google and Meta as conversions, so your campaigns optimize toward real jobs.

What happens after I book?

A 30 minute walkthrough with a strategist. We provision your first numbers together, add the website snippet, and set up your Business Profile and offline numbers on the call. Most businesses see their first attributed call the same day. No deck, no pressure.
