1. Unique Tracking IDs: When a user clicks on an ad or link, a unique identifier (such as a click ID or GCLID for Google) is attached to the URL. This ID tracks the user’s actions and is stored within the system.

 

2. Cookies: Cookies are small data files that are stored on the user’s browser. They track the user’s behavior across websites, recording actions like page views, clicks, and conversions. These cookies are tied to the unique tracking ID from the initial click, helping to link all actions back to the original source.

 

3. Pixel Tracking: Many systems also use tracking pixels, which are tiny images or scripts embedded in webpages. These pixels trigger whenever a user visits the page, helping track their behavior and passing this information back to LeadJourney’s system.
